Landis Award for Oustanding Mentorship by a NINDS Investigator
Excellent mentorship and training are critical to the development of exceptional future scientists. To recognize the contributions and importance of outstanding mentors, the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) has established the NINDS Landis Mentorship Award. This annual award is named in honor of former NINDS Director Dr. Story Landis.

NIH Pathway to Independence Award
NIH Pathway to Independence Award supports both an initial mentored research experience (K99) followed by independent research (R00) for highly qualified, postdoctoral researchers, to secure an independent research position. Award recipients are expected to compete successfully for independent R01 support during the R00 phase.

Neurosurgeon Research Career Development Program (NRCDP)
The Neurosurgeon Research Career Development Program (NRCDP) is a national program of mentored research career development for junior neurosurgeon faculty at institutions nationwide that support neurosurgical research. The goal of the program is to expand the cadre of neurosurgeon investigators trained to conduct high-quality, impactful research into neurological disorders, making use of their neurosurgical training.
