Program Directors
Program Directors oversee the research activities in one or more parts of the Institute's research funding program, managing a portfolio of grants and contracts and coordinating program efforts in these specifically defined areas of neuroscience research.
Advisory Council
The National Advisory Neurological Disorders and Stroke Council (NANDSC) advises the NINDS Director on matters related to the NINDS mission and provides a second level of extramural peer review.
Senior Leadership
The NINDS leadership team is made up of dedicated and experienced scientists and executives. Together, they provide effective and efficient stewardship to support the mission of the Institute.

Board of Scientific Counselors
An external peer review committee that rigorously evaluates Division of Intramural (DIR) scientists on their research program’s long-term objectives, accomplishments, innovation, relevance to the NINDS mission and overall quality and impact.
