Stephanie Mitchell joined NINDS- GMB in May 2006. She transfered to NCI in 2018 for one year and then to USDA in Raleigh, NC in 2019. She re-joined NINDS-GMB in Aprli 2021 and is delighted to be back! Ms. Mitchell has 28 years of service in the federal government, beginning in 1980, while in high school under the Stay-In-School Program. After graduating in 1981, she then attended the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) also as a Stay-In-School participant. She then attended UDC full-time and worked part-time at the Office of Naval Research. As a native Washingtonian, Ms. Mitchell remained in the DMV until 1992, when she moved to Raleigh, NC , working briefly for the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Ms. Mitchell graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
