Erin Bryant serves as a science writer in the Office of Neuroscience Communications and Engagement (ONCE), Media Relations Branch, at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). She joined the NINDS press team in 2022. Prior to that, she worked in the Science Communications Branch of the NIH Office of the Director (OD). There she wrote weekly highlights for NIH Research Matters and consumer health articles for NIH News in Health. During her career at NIH, she has also served as a science writer at the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), where she supported press activities and social media. Ms. Bryant also worked to develop resources for people seeking addiction treatment.

Prior to NIAAA, she served as a science writer at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) supporting the Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (IACC). She began at NIH writing about child health research for the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). Ms. Bryant holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland.
