This position is located in the Office of Management (OM), Office of the Director (OD), National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
The NINDS Office of Management provides all administrative and management support services to the Institute in such areas as: financial planning, analysis and management; administrative services; personnel management; information resources management; contracts management; and management analysis. The OM is organized into four branches: Financial Management and Operations Branch, Administrative Management Branch, Workforce Analytics Planning and Technology Branch, Information Resource Management Branch, and the Technology Transfer Branch. Additionally, the NINDS Office of Management oversees the Ethics Office.
OM is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring administrative management policies, procedures, and guidelines; developing and monitoring the implementation of program policies and plans; and evaluating program progress in meeting Institute objectives; developing data requirements pertinent to short- and long-range program planning, and developing the Institute's program evaluation policy; administering the Institute's program evaluation system for all Institute employees; and maintaining responsibility for all management and administrative policy studies, reports, analyses, and program objectives.
This position is an Institute-level position. The incumbent serves as Deputy Executive Officer (DEO), NINDS and Deputy Director, OM, and reports to the Associate Director for Management (ADM), a Senior Executive Service position.
