Elizabeth Kirby was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Neurology at Stanford University. In the lab of Dr. Tony Wyss-Coray, Elizabeth researched the role for undifferentiated neural stem and progenitor cells in the adult brain after exercise (which is beneficial) and seizure (which is detrimental). Elizabeth received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from University of California Berkeley and her B.S. in Psychology/Neuroscience from Duke University. Currently, Dr. Kirby is an Assistant Professor of Behavioral Neuroscience at Ohio State University.
