Christopher Chen is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School. In the laboratory of Wade Regehr, his research aims to understand how the cerebellum – long thought of as a motor structure – contributes to nonmotor behaviors. His project aims to characterize cerebellar inputs to the parabrachial and identify novel cerebellar output targets, focusing on the projection to the amygdala to test whether this cerebellar output could mediate nonmotor behavior, including fear extinction. He received his Ph.D. in neuroscience from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and he earned his B.S. in neuroscience and cognitive science from Lehigh University.
