Dr. Wu’s research focuses on developing and applying statistical and computational methods to address the problems in the study of clinical neurological disorders. She is especially interested in designing randomized clinical trials and observational studies, and modeling longitudinal data.

Dr. Tianxia Wu received her degree in mathematics from HuaiYing Normal University, China and her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in statistics and quantitative genetics from Nanjing Agricultural University, China. She conducted postdoctoral research at McGill University, Canada, studying field experimental designs in agriculture. Dr. Wu was an Associate Professor in Nanjing Agricultural University. She joined NIDCR/NIH in 1999 and NINDS in 2010 as a statistician. Dr. Wu serves on the NINDS Protocol Implementation and Review Committee (PIRC) as a statistical reviewer. She provides statistical support, consultation service and statistical training to the researchers in NINDS and collaborates with NINDS investigators on clinical research.
