Margo Warren is the Deputy Director of the Office of Communications and Public Liaison at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. As the contracting office representative for a communications contract with Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, she oversees the two national public health education campaigns, Mind Your Risks, and Know Stroke, Know the Signs, Act in Time. She has worked on public and professional education on acute treatment for stroke for more than 20 years, helped organize national symposia establishing stroke systems of care, and has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Brain Attack Coalition.

In addition, she coordinates the institute’s press activities for a broad range of neurological diseases, working closely with the health and science reporters at all levels. She does extensive technical editing and writing, and advises scientific staff on how best to communicate technical information to the media and public.
