Lina is a physician from Cali, Colombia; earned her medical degree at Universidad del Valle. She worked at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine for over 13 years, as a scientific assistant in multiple research projects on Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) , and then as a Project Manager at the Memory Disorders Clinic. Her work in the last 7 years was focused on Neurocognitive Disorders, and participated in multiple clinical trials, bio-markers and early detection studies. She worked closely with people from racial and ethnic minority groups and communities that are medical underserved to have access to cognitive evaluations, education and support to the caregivers.
