Karrah Benson is the Guide Liaison and Receipt and Referral Liaison with the Scientific Review Branch (SRB) at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). She served as the Program Coordinator for the Epilepsy Therapy Screening Program (ETSP) in the Division of Translational Research. She received her B.S. degree in Genetics and Evolutionary Biology from Syracuse University. In 2008, she served as a research assistant in the Musculoskeletal Laboratory at Syracuse University where she studied the effects of aerobic exercise training on venous compliance in hypertensive patients under the direction of Dr. Jill Kanaley and Dr. Stella Goulopoulou. In 2009, she joined a large medical practice in D.C. where she was the office manager for 3 years. In 2012 she received her certification as an Emergency Medical Technician and volunteers her services in the community.
