Gina Norato is a Statistician in the NINDS Intramural Research Program. Ms. Norato joined the group and the Office of Biostatistics in June 2016.  As a member of the Office of Biostatistics, she provides statistical support for NINDS investigators, students, and fellows. Primarily, she conducts analyses for collaborative projects within NINDS, and assists with manuscript preparation. Additionally, she provides consultation for statistical questions, such as proper statistical methodology or interpretation of model results. She also educates on statistical methods through lecture series and scientific journal clubs.

Ms. Norato received her BS in Neuroscience from Dickinson College in 2012. For two years, she worked as a full-time research assistant on ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke trials at both Georgetown University and the University of Arizona. Subsequently, she obtained an ScM in Biostatistics from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2016, with supplemental coursework in clinical trials. Ms. Norato has experience in both R and SAS programming.
