Anahid (Ana) Ebrahimi received her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of California-Davis in 2012 and her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Delaware in 2018. She is joining NIH from a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison focused on understanding the muscle-tendon mechanics driving gait in cerebral palsy. Ana is passionate about diversifying the STEM workforce, and has spent a decade leading initiatives that support underrepresented groups in STEM. She is a co-founder of International Women in Biomechanics, a community for women in the biomechanics field to gain support, advice, and mentorship as they progress through their careers, and an Advisory Board member of The Perry Initiative, a non-profit that introduces young women to engineering and orthopedic surgery. She also served as the co-chair of the UW-Madison Postdoc Association's Diversity & Inclusion Committee and is a 2018 AAC&U K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award recipient.
