NINDS is supporting a database on COVID-19-related neurological symptoms and a repository for associated biosamples. Clinicians and health care organizations are invited to submit information on COVID 19-neurological complications and outcomes as well as COVID-19 effects on pre-existing neurological conditions seen in their patients. The COVID-19 Neuro Databank/Biobank (The NeuroCOVID Project), which was developed and will be maintained by NYU Langone Health, will be a resource of clinical information as well as biospecimens from people of all ages who have experienced a new onset neurological problems or worsening of existing neurological disorders associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection.

SfN Global Connectome: COVID + the Nervous System: A Conversation with NIH

The objectives of this event are to inform the community about what is known about the effects of SARS-CoV-2 on the nervous system; the effects of COVID-19 on those suffering from mental, neurological, or substance use disorders; and relevant NIH resources/funding opportunities focused on these effects. The format will include a roundtable with NIH Institute Directors, other leaders, and a Q&A with attendees. This event is a virtual social associated with the Society for Neuroscience Global Connectome.
