Invited speakers will present talks of 30 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions and open discussion. In addition, two evening discussions will have an open discussion forum where attendees will be invited to present new findings, discuss controversial topics, and provide alternative interpretations of data. All attendees are invited to present posters that will remain up for the entire conference. Presenters should emphasize not only new findings from their laboratories but also provide speculation on future directions, insights, and predictions. Presenters should provide an abstract and outline of their work in advance (via email), for inclusion in the program book.
The workshop will be held February 19-22 at the UCLA Conference Center at Lake Arrowhead. This conference center is in the forested regions around Lake Arrowhead in the San Bernadino Mountains. The center offers state-of-the-art facilities for presentations in a causal environment. Since all presentations, discussions, coffee breaks, and meals will all take place within the facility, it provides an excellent environment for scientific interactions and the exchange of ideas.
Attendees may arrive on Thursday, February 19 after noon to enjoy the beautiful conference center grounds and surroundings. The meeting begins with dinner at 6:30 p.m., with the first evening session at 8:00 p.m. Morning sessions begin at 9:00 a.m. Breakfast, lunch and dinners will be served and refreshments will be provided for socials. The meeting ends after lunch on Sunday February 22.
