Limited Competition: Adult Brain Tumor Clinical Trials Consortium (U01)
Funding Contact(s): Jane Fountain, Ph.D.
Funding Categories: Neural Environment
Brief Description:
The purpose of this Limited Competition Request for Applications (RFA) is to continue the program of the National Cancer Institute
(NCI) for the development of new anticancer therapies for adult patients with primary central nervous system cancers. During
the current funding period of this program, the NCI-funded two separate consortia: New Approaches to Brain Tumor Therapy (NABTT);
and North American Brain Tumor Consortium (NABTC). This limited competition RFA solicits a single joint application from
both NABTT and NABTC to continue their activities as a single entity. The consolidated Adult Brain Tumor Consortium will
be responsible for timely conduct of Phase 1 and 2 studies that are essential to NCI’s overall clinical research program for
adults with brain tumors. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is co-sponsored by the National Institute of Neurological
Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). Support from NINDS will be used to incorporate selected imaging studies into the Consortium’s
activities.
