Adan Aguirre was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Children's Research Institute. In the lab of Dr. Vittorio Gallo, Adan studied the role for EGF receptor signaling in oligodendrocyte development and repair in mice. Adan earned his Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Centro de Investigacion y de Estudios Avanzados IPN (CINVESTAV-IPN), Mexico and his B.S. in Veterinary Medicine from Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexico. Currently, Dr. Aguirre is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacological Sciences at Stony Brook University Medical School.
