Dr. Tracy Chen (Ph.D., DABT) joined the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) in 2007 and currently serves as the Senior Toxicologist for the Anticonvulsant Screening Program (ASP). Within ASP, she provides summary analysis of pharmacological and toxicological screening results as well as subsequent recommendations to collaborators, performs SAR (structure-activity relationship) analysis and recommendations for compound optimization, and suggests scientific content for the publicly accessible database and web page (PubChem and PANACHE). Prior to this role, Dr. Chen has years of experience in toxicology in both the academic and industry environment. Dr. Chen earned her B.S. degree in Pharmacy and M.S. degree in Medical Sciences at Taipei Medical University and Ph.D. in Molecular Toxicology at the University of Pittsburgh.
