Dr. Scott Janis has been with the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) since 2001 and is currently a Clinical Research Project Manager in the Office for Clinical Research. His main areas of scientific interest include overseeing a program of clinical research in acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke and traumatic brain injury; including the Specialized Program for Translational Research in Acute Stroke (SPOTRIAS) and the Neurological Emergencies Treatment Trials Network (NETT). Prior to joining NINDS, Dr. Janis completed an NIH postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Neuroscience in the School of Medicine at the Georgetown University Medical Center. He received his B.S. and M.A. in Biological Psychology from Central Michigan University and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the Center of Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience at Rutgers University.
