Karin French received her B.S. degrees in Animal Science and Cell & Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Maryland, along with a 'Science, Technology, and Society' Certificate. She was an Associate Staff Scientist for FASEB's Life Sciences Research office before working to earn her M.S. in applied Animal Science with Dr. Richard Kohn at the University of Maryland. She joined the NINDS Office of Translational Research as a Scientific Program Analyst because of her interest in the processes that connect academic research to real world applications.
